Drama is yet on-air and touching the apex of popularity because of its unique cast and out-of-the-ordinary storyline.Pardes is a drama serial, which hit a very sensitive topic. Basically, the story is based on, going abroad for earning.
The story gives a glimpse of the earlier time period, a very simple era has been shown and it can be seen that it’s the time in which the ways of communication were limited i.e. landline phones and letters. Money was transferred through money orders. It represents a joint family. A mother with her four children: two daughters and two sons.
Mumtaz, is a widow, who is supervising her children, she is a voluble woman but does not allow any outsider to intrude in her family matters. She instantly points out whatever she feels wrong. In short, she is a strict woman, but her behavior is justifiable as she has to survive with her children in our bizarre society. Three of her children are married and the youngest one is unmarried, yet.
The eldest is Ahsan who is extremely humble and caring towards his all family members. Then comes Nabila , who is kind of simple and a puppet in her husband’s hand. She pressurizes her brothers and mother to brought things for her home even though it is the responsibility of her husband. The third one is Asim, who is a greedy and selfish person who keeps an eye on his brother’s money and even starts a business with the glommed amount, he is only concerned about her wife and son. Youngest is Alia, she is a soft-hearted girl who favors Zubaida. Alia falls in love with a boy.
Zubaida is Ahsan’s wife, a very loving and caring wife, she is extremely patient. She has to go through a lot of troubles and sufferings in the absence of her husband but she never complains because she wants to comfort everyone. She becomes a maid of her in-laws to win their hearts but all in vain.
A mixture of nature and emotions are there in the drama. It is beautifully represented that how everyone is connected together. Going abroad in the quest for money can fancy the home but it cannot bring the happiness and pleasures of being living together. When the father goes out of the country the children who live behind feels alone because when they get deprived of their father’s affection.
Furthermore, everyone rebukes the children and they become insecure and it may provoke an inferiority complex in them. Another possible consequence is indulging in wrong company and activities because of a lack of love, attention, and guidance.
It is considered that the female wants more and more money, but this drama breaks the stereotype and shows that the male himself can also choose to move abroad for a better lifestyle.
Zubaida does not want her husband to go out of the country but Ahsan wants to do so as he wants to give every facility and a lavish way of living, to his family. As a result, he has to suffer breach from his wife and children. So, it is preferable to stay tied in our own country by limiting our worldly desires. It will ultimately improve the moral ethics and values of society.
The drama is still on air and the curiosity of viewers is increasing with every episode that what would be the end of the serial since it is taking a lot of twists and turns. So, keep watching Pardes on ARY digital.
