Late Seth Abid, a well-known businessman’s daughter, has found dead at her home in Lahore’s Muslim Town on Saturday “under strange circumstances.”

Farah Mazhar was shot in the abdomen, according to reports. Police have arrested the 62-year-old victim’s adoptive son on suspicion of foul play.

The suspect has denied the allegations before police, claiming that Farah attempted suicide and he shifted her to hospital. A 40-year-old maid of the victim Razia is also being interrogated.

The police discovered a weapon from the crime site and transported it to a forensic lab.

According to authorities, the victim’s spouse lives in the United States. And all of her children, including two sons and one girl, are adopted. She was a very kind-hearted lady.

Meanwhile, Punjab Chief Minister Hamza Shehbaz Sharif has been notified of the incident. And has ordered a report from the Inspector General of Police.

He ordered that the suspects be apprehended as quickly as possible and that justice be administered to the victim’s family.
